Who we are
This website (“energypilot.ai”) is operated by NZero, the company behind Energy Pilot AI. If you have questions about this policy, write to legal@nzero.com.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to information collected through energypilot.ai. It does not cover the Energy Pilot AI software product itself (which is governed by separate contractual terms with customers), email correspondence outside the site, or third-party sites we link to.
What we collect
We try to keep this list short.
- Information you provide directly — if you contact us by email, request a demo, or fill in a form (none currently live on this site, but if added we will collect the fields you submit).
- Analytics data — if you consent, Google Analytics 4 records page views, approximate location (from IP), device type, browser, referrer, and time on page. We do not enable advertising features, demographic reports, or Google Signals.
- Video playback data — if you consent, our video host Mux records playback events (play/pause, completion percentage, buffering) and your IP address.
- Consent preference — we record your “accept” or “reject” choice in your browser’s
sessionStorage. It is cleared when you close the tab; we do not store this anywhere on our servers.
We do not use session replay, keystroke logging, heatmaps, advertising pixels, or chat widgets on this site.
What we do with it
- Understand which content visitors find useful so we can prioritize what to write next.
- Reply to your questions and demo requests.
- Diagnose site problems and fix bugs.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law (we run none of that).

Cookies & tracking
We do not load any analytics or video cookies until you click “Accept” on our consent banner. If you click “Reject,” or if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics or video cookies are set during your visit. See our Cookie Policy for the full table.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA / CPRA gives you rights to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you.
- Delete that information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share, but if you’d like to confirm this, see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through this site.
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
If you are in the EU/UK, GDPR/UK GDPR gives you analogous rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection). Our lawful basis for processing analytics and video data is consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.

California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA)
We do not enable any third-party recording, “wiretapping,” or interception of your communications with this site without your prior express consent. Specifically: no tracking script, video player, chat widget, or session-replay tool loads until you click “Accept” on the consent banner.
Children’s privacy
This site is aimed at business audiences (ESCOs, installers, engineering firms). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Retention
We retain analytics data per Google’s defaults (we currently set retention to the shortest available, 2 months for event data). We retain email correspondence as long as we have an active relationship with you, plus a reasonable period for legal and audit purposes.
Security
We host this site on AWS infrastructure with TLS in transit. We do not store payment or sensitive personal information on this site.
Changes
If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date at the top and, where required, re-prompt for consent.
